Arleen Levine

Arleen Levine was born in 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her BS with honors and distinction in 1978. In 1981 she graduated from The University of Toledo with her Juris Doctorate. She has been the Director of the Toledo Jewish Community Foundation, which oversees the planned giving, endowment efforts of the Toledo Jewish community through the Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo since 1993 through the present (2017)"

Alvin Levinson

Alvin Sanford Levinson was born on July 14, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from John Adams High School in 1937, and from The Ohio State University with a degree in Social Work in 1941. In 1942 he worked for the US Employment Services, and was a Sergeant in the US Army serving in Italy and North Africa with an honorable discharge in 1945. He received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago. In 1965 he came to Toledo as the Executive Director of the Northwest Ohio Jewish Welfare Federation, and retired from that position in 1984. He was the Interim Director of Jewish Family Services in 1984-5, and served on the Board of Jewish Education for years. He died at Darlington House Jewish Home on February 3, 2011.

Nancy Newbury

Nancy Gilbert Newbury was born on April 8, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, where she attended elementary and high school. Her undergraduate education was at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1976 followed by a Masters in Social Work in 1980 from The University of Michigan. Her professional career path included being the first social worker at Hospice of Northwest Ohio from 1981-1986, and as a social worker at the Battered Women's Shelter from 1981-1983. She was a caseworker at Jewish Family Service from 1986-1998, followed by the IFS Interim Director in 1992 as well as from 1998-2001. She was the JFS Clinical Director from 2001-2003 and JFS Director from 2003-present (2017).

Betty Quiroga

Betty Cohen (Batya Tzirl) was born November 9, 1935 in Toledo to Rose and Harry Cohen. She married William Quiroga in 1953. They had three children, Michael, Renee and Harriet, and one granddaughter. Betty was interviewed by Fagie Benstein and Alix Greenblatt on August 13, 2015 while she was visiting Toledo from her home in Florida. Betty Quiroga passed away January 8, 2016 and is interred at Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
