Lester Alexander

A 1962 black and white photograph of Lester Alexander and an unidentifed man as he is presented an award for his service to the Toledo Jewish community. Mr. Alexander was chairman of the construction committee for the Jewish Community Center (JCC ) building on Collingwood Boulevard that opened in 1952. Later he served as president of the JCC and also held leadership positions in the Collingwood Temple, Darlington House, the Bureau of Jewish Education, and the American Joint distribution Committee.
